2020 November update

A familiar sight on every flight and in every airport

We arrived home from Serbia at 1.15am on Saturday on the last flight Wizz Air is currently operating on the route from Belgrade to London. The airline gave us 24 hours’ notice having cancelled our flight that was scheduled for next week. (You may also remember our previous flight 7 months ago to London was with Emirates on their last flight from Dubai to London!) In the shortened time we had at Belgrade Bible School, I managed to complete teaching the books of 1 & 2 Kings as well as Ezekiel, ready for the students to sit their exams the next day. During our visit, including lectures and church meetings, I spoke 45 times while Malou helped out in many practical ways. We now face 2 weeks quarantine in the UK….or a large fine, if caught away from the house!
Since mid-May I have been speaking each Sunday via Zoom to a small growing group of friends. We are currently presenting a series entitled ‘A History of Christian Mission’ and have been encouraged that one leader in the Ethiopian church and another in an Indian church have taken the notes and are using them in Bible Schools. For those unable to attend the live Zoom broadcast, they can listen later on YouTube.
We have no idea what lies ahead but remain convinced that, ‘He is the Rock, his works are perfect and all his ways are just’. Deuteronomy 32:4
May the God of Wonders bless you all.
