February 2014 Update

CHILE has a unique shape – it is over 4000 km long but, because it is wedged between the Andes and the Pacific Ocean, averages only about 150 km in width (i.e. less than 100 miles). While the church is growing, it is not at the speed seen in some of its more vibrant neighbours such as Peru and Brazil due, in part, to its isolation. Similarly, the truth that the gospel is to be taken throughout the earth is only just dawning. It was therefore very encouraging to see churches respond so positively to the message about missions; we were told by pastors and leaders that the challenge we were sharing was exactly in line with their current thinking.
